Switchback Ridge wines are sourced exclusively from the Peterson
Family Vineyard in Calistoga. The rich, rocky soils of this beautiful
vineyard property consistently produce low yields of intensely flavored
fruit, resulting in extremely concentrated, fruit driven wines that are
the hallmark of Switchback Ridge. Not only are we blessed with an
incredible vineyard site, we are extremely fortunate to be working with
one of the most talented winemakers in the industry. Bob Foley has been
making our wines since our first vintage in 1999.
Please note our 2010 wines will be pre-released to the mailing list August 28, 2012. If you are not already on the list, please

2008 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon - Peterson Family Vineyard
Big, ripe cherry pie, is accentuated with black cherry aromas and berry and camphor spice on the palate. A soft mid-palate with gripping Cabernet framework
finishes with toasty oak and bright acidity. - Bob Foley
Put this Cabernet in the cellar for a while. It's dry and very tannic, yet dramatically rich in blackberries, currants, anise biscotti and smoky oak. A complex,
classically structured young wine that should develop through 2018. Cellar Selection. - S.H., Wine Enthusiast, July 2011, 94 points

Super ripe, porty and vinous. Sturdy, intense fruit extract framed by gripping tannin and a healthy acid balance. - Bob Foley

Viscous and thick with over the top richness and wonderfully sweet tannins, this is an extraordinary, profound Petite Sirah to drink over the next
25 years." - R.P., Wine Advocate #192, December 2010, 95+ points
